Today I want to talk about efficiently,
and how you always want to be looking for ways to improve your business. While I was out today shopping I walked into
a local co-op and was completely amazed at how inefficiently they were running
the business. This is how they ran the
business, you walked through the store and figure out what you wanted to
purchase, now that you have your purchases in mind you go to the counter and
purchase the items. Here comes the
kicker, they use a walkie-talkie to tell the employees what you would like and
they put it into a carriage for you. I
could not believe they ran the business like that, can you imagine how much
money they are losing on employees doing tasks over again.
You as a
business owner need to constantly be looking for ways to make your business run
more efficiently. Look at the ways your
employees do their daily tasks and see if you can improve the way it’s done
anyway, even look at yourself see if you can improve what u do. There is nothing known as "free",
your time is worth money and the more time you waste doing a task you are losing
money. So guys you always be aware of
ways you can improve your business.
Every time I’m
out I find myself looking at the way people are doing their jobs and thinking
about ways it could be done easier and more efficiently. Look at subway; they have pre-sliced meat and
cheese whereas mom and dad shops will cut the meat for you as they are making
the sandwich. You will be amazed at how
much people waste their time when it could be done more efficient.
